Addressable vs Non-Addressable Systems
There are two broad categories. Non-addressable systems (sometimes called “wandering call”) simply alert staff that a call has been made somewhere on a zone — suitable for smaller sheltered schemes where the call point itself is easy to find. Addressable systems identify the exact call point by room or location, usually with date/time stamping, call duration logging, and response reporting — essential for any setting where evidencing response times is part of your regulated care quality record.
For new builds and major refurbishments across Leicestershire, we design systems from scratch — call points in every bedroom and ensuite, ceiling pull cords where appropriate, staff location and assistance-call functions, and display units or pagers configured around how your home actually runs on a night shift. For existing homes, we carry out upgrades and wire-free (radio) extensions where running fresh cabling isn’t practical without disruption to residents.
